Tier 2: Targeted Instructional Intervention –
Dropout prevention
• Meets the needs of 30-45% of students*
• More targeted instruction and supplemental support
• Programs: Credit recovery/earning options; English
language development
Tier 1: Core Instruction - Enrichment
• Meets needs of 50-65% of students*
• General academic instruction and support provided
to all students and all settings
• Programs: Enrichment, AP courses, test prep
*Based on the on-track/off-track high school graduation status,
numbers of Grade Ds and Fs, and GPAs.
