CHAPTER 1: EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
This section describes the number of educational institutions across the OECS Member States. These institutions have been disaggregated by educational cycle such as Early Childhood, Primary, Special Education Secondary, Technical Vocational Education and Training and Post -Secondary / Tertiary and Non- Tertiary. They are also disaggregated by type whether public/private or assisted.
At the Early Childhood cycle, ownership is further disaggregated into public, private, church-assisted or non-affiliated institutions. In some Member States, private church-assisted and private non-affiliated schools receive technical and/or financial assistance from the government.
