Column A
Income minus Expenses = _________. Divide by 5 months = amount of excess financial aid
you can add to your monthly budget.
Column B
If you have any excess financial aid left, add that money to income under Column B.
Calculate the income section. This will give you the total amount you can spend on a
monthly basis for household and recurring expenses. Calculate your expenses.
If your expenses exceed your monthly income, you will need to tighten your budget or
bring in extra income. If your income far exceeds your expenses, consider saving the
excess money or borrowing less money (if you have a student loan).
