Rent Ready Norfolk
RRN is a comprehensive and voluntary program designed to assist both landlords and
renters in the City of Norfolk. Rent Ready Norfolk services for renters include:
Quality Assessment: An assessment of the rental unit’s interior, exterior, common
areas, bonus amenities, and nuisances (if applicable). This will ensure that your
property(s) are livable, safe, and meet the City of Norfolk’s Property Code.
Rental Academy: Inform and educate landlords, property managers, and renters.
Featured rental academy’s track include: Good Landlord Track, Good Renter Track,
and Good Landlord Continuing Education Track.
Emergency Notification Database: A database designed to notify residential rental
property owners or a local designated agents(s) immediately of life and safety
emergencies occurring at or near their property.
Performance Rating System: Provide assistance to prospective renters to locate
certified “rent ready” properties via the RRN’s mobile friendly website which will
market your property(s) to prospective renters. Prospective renters will be able to
review information such as the property’s quality assessment score, pictures, the
landlord or property manager’s Rental Academy transcript, and owners contact
information.
