Fassbender as Jobs – an exciting prospect indeed! things you need to know about… STEVE JOBS 1 As the name suggests, this is the story of the original Apple genius, Steve Jobs, a man who’s had probably the biggest ever impact on mainstream technology. Real life Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak was also a project consultant on this. 2 It stars probably the hottest actor out there right now, Michael Fassbender (Slow West, 12 Years a Slave), who accepted the lead after both Christian Bale (The Dark Knight Trilogy) and Leonardo DiCaprio (The Wolf of Wall Street) turned the part down. 3 The screenplay was written by Aaron Sorkin, the creative force behind immense TV shows such as The Newsroom and films like the Brad Pitt fronted Moneyball. 4 David Fincher (Seven, The Social Network) was originally slated to direct, but creative differences lead to him vacating the position. Which would be a shame if it wasn’t for the following… 5 Adding to the impressive role call of people involved on this film is the Oscarwinning Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, Trainspotting), who filled the vacant director’s chair. All in all, an amazing set of people! See Steve Jobs from 13 November.
