things you need to know about… Inside Out 1  his fun animated Disney/Pixar comedy T features the vocal talents of some of the best comedians working today, including Amy Poehler, Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling. 2  It’s the story of a little girl named Riley, who is ruled by the emotions in her head: Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. When Riley moves from the Midwest to San Francisco, her feelings go haywire and it’s up to Joy and the others to go on a quest to make her happy again. 3  riter/director Pete Docter (Up) W was inspired to write the script after watching his own daughter struggle with her emotions while growing up. 4  All of the ‘emotion’ characters have their own shape – Sadness is inspired by a teardrop, Joy is a star and Disgust is broccoli, as you can see on the right!
