Spider-Man: Homecoming TBC Tom Holland’s in a spin in this comic-book caper! DIRECTOR JON WATTS STARRING TOM HOLLAND, ROBERT DOWNEY JR, MICHAEL KEATON Ever since we first caught sight of Tom Holland as the Webbed Wonder in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, we’ve been waiting with great impatience for Spider-Man: Homecoming to arrive. Well, it’s finally here and we’re thrilled to report that it’s everything we hoped for and more. For those of you who’ve been living in a cave for the past seven decades (and we’re not here to judge if you have – the housing market is unforgiving at the moment), the story brings to life the adventures of arguably Stan Lee’s greatest character: 15-year-old Peter Parker, who is bestowed with arachnid-like abilities after being bitten by a genetically modified spider. Following the epic events of Civil War, Peter is trying to juggle schoolwork with superpowers, under the watchful eye of a certain Tony Stark (aka Iron Man). But then Michael Keaton’s Vulture starts causing trouble. Can our young boy wonder save the city and by proxy the world? 5 JUL War for the Planet of the Apes TBC It’s apes versus humans – with only one winner! DIRECTOR MATT REEVES STARRING ANDY SERKIS, WOODY HARRELSON, JUDY GREER When two tribes go to war, the rest of us are in for an absolute treat (albeit a brutal one). This third instalment in the reimagined Planet of the Apes series, sees our flawed, furry hero Caesar (Andy Serkis) vowing to avenge his fellow apes after their suffer terrible losses at the hands of Woody Harrelson’s remorseless Colonel and his troops.
