Mike and
Dave Need
Wedding
Dates
Just not these ones!
Party-loving
brothers Mike
(Adam DeVine)
and Dave (Zac Efron)
have a habit of ruining
family gatherings with
their wild ways, so their
parents order them
to find respectable
dates for their sister’s
wedding. But this proves
easier said than done...
Out of desperation,
the boys appear on The
Wendy Williams Show,
where they reveal their
plight. One car accident
later, they meet the
seemingly perfect Alice
(Anna Kendrick) and
Tatiana (Aubrey Plaza).
But the girls turn out to
be wilder than they are.
Much, much wilder!
DeVine and Efron and
real-life BFFs Kendrick
and Plaza are four of
the most sought-after
young actors working
in Hollywood today.
When you put them all
together, the results are
absolutely hilarious.

Pete’s Dragon
You’ve got to see him to believe him...
Helmed by the hugely
talented David Lowery
(director of festival
favourite Ain’t Them Bodies
Saints) and starring Bryce
Dallas Howard (Jurassic
World), Wes Bentley (The
Hunger Games) and Robert
Redford (Lions for Lambs),
this delightful live-action
adventure is a remake of
Disney’s 1977 children’s classic
of the same name (which
anyone over the age of 40 will
remember with great fondness).
Ever since she was a little
girl, Grace Meacham’s father
has told her stories about
a fierce dragon that lives in
the woods near her home.
Now fully grown up and a
forest ranger in those same

woods, Grace (wonderfully
played by Howard) always
thought her dad’s tales were
of the tall kind until, that is,
she meets Pete (Oakes Fegley
– This is Where I Leave You),
a 10-year-old orphan who
claims to live in the woods with
his best friend Elliott, who just
so happens to be a dragon.
With the help of 11-year-old
Natalie (Oona Laurence
– Southpaw), the daughter
of a local mill owner, Grace
sets out to discover the truth.
Featuring wonderful
performances from all
involved, especially Fegley, this
is everything you’d expect from
a Disney movie. It’s funny, it’s
touching, it’s uplifting. In fact,
it’s the perfect family film!
