Matt’s Egyptian ‘mummy’ costume needed some serious work MUST-SEE OF THE MONTH Jason Bourne TBC After a lengthy absence, Bourne is back – and he remembers everything. Uh-oh! DIRECTOR Paul Greengrass STARRING Matt Damon, JULIA STILES, Alicia Vikander Jason Bourne is the fifth film in the Bourne series, and the first not to be called The Bourne ‘Something Or Other’, following Identity (2002), Supremacy (2004), Ultimatum (2007) and Legacy (2012). It sees Matt Damon returning to the role of the titular anti-hero, after a near-decade-long absence (Jeremy Renner took over the reigns in 2012 but played a different character). Also returning is Bourne 2 and 3 director Paul Greengrass, who scripts as well. The plot sees the former CIA operative being drawn out of the shadows after a lengthy hiatus. “I know who I am, I remember... I remember everything!” he declares in the trailer. “Remembering everything doesn’t mean you know everything,” replies Julia Stiles, who returns as Bourne’s long-time confidante, Nicky Parsons. Oooh, mysterious stuff... What follows is an explosive, thrill-packed, twist-filled spy caper that will have you on the edge of your seat. Damon and Stiles are excellent as always, while Tommy Lee Jones as CIA director Robert Dewey is worth the admission price alone. Look out too for recent Oscar winner Alicia Vikander and Vincent Cassel. What a cast. We repeat. What. A.
