For their entire lives, fraternal twins Kyle and Peter Reynolds have believed their dad is dead. But in a moment of candour on her wedding day, their mom reveals that he’s actually very much alive – she’s just not sure who he is. And so, Kyle and Peter set out to track their not-dead dad down – with hilarious results. That terrible day saw two pressure cooker bombs explode near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing three civilians and wounding many more. Directed by Deepwater Horizon’s Peter Berg, this enthralling story chronicles those awful events and the subsequent manhunt. Reverent rather than exploitative, this is an important watch. This superbly acted drama details the many twists and turns that saw Illinois milkshake machine salesman Ray Kroc (brilliantly played here by Oscar-nominee Michael Keaton – The Other Guys, Birdman) take a small-scale burger operation – run by brothers Mac and Dick McDonald – and turn it into a fast-food empire with 36,500 restaurants worldwide and an annual revenue of billions. Based on actual events, you’ll never look at a Happy Meal or a McFlurry in the same way again. 24 17 FEB Resident Evil: The Final Chapter Is this the beginning of the end for Alice? Resident Evil: The Final Chapter picks up the action exactly where we left it in 2012’s Resident Evil: Retribution. New to the franchise? Here’s a quick recap. Humanity is on the brink of extinction thanks to a deadly virus created and perpetuated by a sinister 3 FEB organisation known as the Umbrella Corporation. With an army of undead between her and salvation, our heroine Alice (Milla Jovovich) has a plan: “to kill every last one of them”. Yup, that should do it! The Final Chapter?
