T-Rex to the
rescue (Jurassic
World: Fallen
Kingdom)
It’s time someone
said it. The real
hero of the Jurassic Park
saga isn’t Alan Grant, Sarah
Harding or even Owen Grady.
Nope, it’s the T-Rex. This
mighty but maligned beast
saved the day in the original
Jurassic Park (see #20) and
also came to the rescue in
Jurassic World (see #13). And
the tiny-armed terror is at
it again in Fallen Kingdom,
turning up just as Owen
is about to become lunch.

Deep rising
(Jurassic Park III)
Having finished
his snack (see #17),
Jurassic Park III’s Spinosaurus
is clearly ready for his main
course as he chows down on a
boat carrying our weary heroes.
It’s an attack that wouldn’t look
out of place in the Jaws movies!
For sheer exhilaration,
this scene can’t be beat. It sees
an astride-a-motorbike Owen
on a recon mission with his
beloved raptors (villains in
the first three movies, but
now the lesser of many evils).

Cooking up
suspense
(Jurassic Park)
In one of the most
tense sequences in the entire
saga, youngsters Tim and Lex
are hunted by two snarling
raptors in the visitor centre’s
kitchen. Those tapping claws
still haunt our dreams!

“Paddock
9, you
kidding?” says an
incredulous Larry, when
ordered by Claire to
open the enclosure.
Inside, of course, is the
fearsome Tyrannosaurus
rex, but Claire knows
it’s the only way to
counteract the threat
of the even more vicious
Indominus rex. (See #2.)
On his way to hand
over the fertilised
embryos he stole from Jurassic
Park’s lab, computer expert
Dennis Nedry encounters
a Dilophosaurus. Much like
Dennis, it seems harmless.
Much like Dennis, it isn’t!
The park reveal
(Jurassic World)
When young Gray
throws open the
shutters in his Jurassic World
hotel room to reveal the park
in all its glory, he’s not the only
one grinning from ear to ear
– we are too. After a 14-year
hiatus, it’s good to be back.
