I have to say, though, I do quite like putting on the Kingsman glasses, they make me feel like Eggsy immediately. What’s Matthew Vaughn’s directing style like on set? Uncompromising. High energy. All the directors I’ve worked with have been very passionate about what they do, but there is something about Matthew’s tenacity and determination to get exactly what he wants that is exhausting, but also extremely exciting. You trust him completely. Can you see a future Kingsman film where Eggsy mentors his protégé just as Harry mentored him? I think it’s a lovely idea... It would be a great bit of synchronicity. However, I’m still fairly fresh-faced, so who knows what the future holds Do you have a favourite gadget from the new film? I don’t know what I’m allowed to give away, but what I can say is that there are lots of gadgets in this movie that you didn’t see in the first one. The whole ethos of this sequel is to try and create what we loved about the first one but still have it be very fresh and new and not feel like we’re being 16 odeon.co.uk for [the series] as a franchise. I know Matthew has said that he would like to do a third one if the opportunity arose. From my part, I love playing the character and I think that would be a fun thing to do somewhere down the line.
