Former college friends (Scarlett
Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell,
Ilana Glazer and Zoë Kravitz) reunite
after 10 years for a bachelorette weekend in
Miami (that’s hen party to you and me).
Unfortunately, for the hard-drinking gal
pals, their 48-hour binge-fest is brought to a
crushing halt when they accidentally kill the
male stripper they’ve hired. Instead of going
to the police and reporting the death as a
accident, they try to cover it up – cue hi-jinks
and hilarity, including driving through the
busy Miami streets with the deceased hanging
out of the sunroof. If you loved Bad Moms,
then you’re going to go wild for this. Helmed by Kathryn Bigelow (the
Academy Award-winner director of
The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty),
this powerful biographical drama depicts the
real-life events of 25 July 1967, when, during
Detroit’s notorious 12th Street Riot, a ‘shooting’
occurred at the Algiers Motel approximately one
mile away. We won’t give away what happened
here (just in case you don’t know the story),
but needless to say the ramifications of this
horrific incident are stil
