Royal siblings Elsa and Anna return
for another thrilling sub-zero adventure

This winter, the hottest animation in
town is also the coldest. Intrigued?
Then warm your whole family’s
cockles with a trip to Frozen II: the sequel
that Disney pretty much had to make – or else
face a riot from the planet’s tweenagers.
Back in 2013, the original Frozen tied a bow
on the tale of Arendelle’s royal siblings, Anna
and Elsa – but still left us pondering how the
older sister got her winter-unleashing powers in
the first place, and what really happened to their
missing parents. Set three years later, this sequel
gives us the answers we’ve waited for – but not
the ones we’re expecting. It all starts when a
mysterious voice calls Elsa (Idina Menzel) from
the north, setting in motion a voyage of self-
discovery that ropes in plucky Anna (Kristen
Bell), Olaf the cheerful snowman (Josh Gad),
Kristoff the iceman (Jonathan Groff ) and his
hygienically challenged reindeer, Sven.
Even faster, funnier and frostier than its
legendary predecessor, Frozen II races along
with a family-themed story that will keep your
kids’ hearts pounding as the gang braves perils
including waterfalls, forest fires and ferocious
rock monsters. And if you thought ‘Let it Go’ was
catchy, prepare to leave the cinema with your
brain branded with the sequel’s über-hummable
new anthem, ‘Some Things Never Change’.
