For those who haven’t read her Pulitzer Prize- winning tome, the story sees a 13-year-old boy (Oakes Fegley) surviving a museum terrorist attack that kills his mother. As he staggers from the scene he takes with him a small painting called The Goldfinch, from which he draws strength through the coming years. Co- starring Nicole Kidman, this is a triumphant adaptation.
