The Sole Practitioner / Small Firm section has had an active fall and is looking forward to an even busier spring . We opened our bar year with a breakfast meeting where Kathryn Burmeister helped us learn how to “ Ditch the Status Quo and Thrive ” so that we can be the best we can be in all aspects of our life .
Our first lunch this year featured David Dorrier of Present Your Way to Success . David helped us sharpen our presentation skills and hone our messages so we can reach more people .
In October , we also co-hosted a happy hour at Monday Night Brewing with the Litigation and Worker ’ s Compensation sections . We rounded out our fall meetings with a breakfast panel on hiring . Cristina Leon of the Partners Group , Wendy Patel of HR Solutions Atlanta and Todd Stanton of Stanton Law provided advice and answered questions related to hiring trends , finding the right employees for your firm , and retaining those employees once they have been hired . www . atlantabar . org THE ATLANTA LAWYER 42
