Ayrshire Schools Cross Country
Written by Itai Ben Horesh , S2 We had almost 30 pupils competing in the Ayrshire Schools Cross Country Championships , with the S1 girls ’ team of Kacey Watson , Jessica Starkey , Cara Gilmartin and Louisa McNish winning first S1 team . Well done to everyone who competed . total raised was just over £ 200 plus donations made directly to Just Giving via the QR code . I think everyone who sampled the baked goods on offer will agree that the cakes were absolutely delicious ! Well done to the whole team on a raising so much for charity .
SAC Enterprising Maths Challenge We had a group of eager mathematicians competing in the South Ayrshire Enterprising Maths Challenge this year and I ’ m delighted to say that we finished in joint first with Queen Margaret Academy . Well done to the team , comprising Fraser Bentley 4L1 , Isobel Barclay 4W , Lucy Dickson 3F2 and Amy Swallow 3F2 and to Mr Cowan for organising the team .
60 th Reunion Visit In September we were delighted to host a tour for a group of former pupils who were celebrating their 60th reunion . One member of group was the grandson of Dr Murison , Marr ’ s first Headteacher . Thanks to DHTs , School Captains and photographer Rory McLaren for meeting with our visitors .
