A Meaningful Eagle Scout Project for Pet Lovers
We’ re proud to recognize Michigan Geyer for an incredible Eagle Scout service project that has created a meaningful new space for the Lock Haven community.
As part of his Eagle Scout project with Troop 711, Michigan designed and built a beautiful Rainbow Bridge at Riverview Park. The bridge serves as a special memorial dedicated to lost and deceased pets who continue to hold a place in the hearts of their families.
The Rainbow Bridge provides a thoughtful place for pet owners to remember their beloved companions, with a special area where families can hang their pets’ collars in their honor. The colorful bridge and accompanying memorial are a touching reminder of the special bond between people and their pets.
Michigan’ s project is a wonderful example of leadership, compassion, craftsmanship, and community service. What began as an Eagle Scout project will continue to serve as a meaningful place of remembrance for families throughout the community for years to come.
Congratulations, Michigan! We are so proud of the time, dedication, and heart you put into creating something so special for our community!
SVRCS Student Leadership Team Begins New School Year
SVRCS is excited to welcome a new year of student leadership! The Student Leadership Team, led by Rylee LeValley and Larissa Braden, recently held its first meeting and is officially underway.
The Student Leadership Team provides students with opportunities to develop leadership skills, become more involved in their school community, and make a positive difference at SVRCS. Student Leaders will take on a variety of responsibilities throughout the school year, including helping with Elementary Announcements and supporting school activities and projects.
During their first meeting, students began brainstorming ways they could serve their fellow students and the school community. One idea they were especially excited about was visiting elementary classrooms to read to younger students. This initiative will give Student Leaders an opportunity to practice their leadership skills while encouraging a love of reading among younger students.
We are proud of our students for stepping up as leaders and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have throughout the SVRCS community this year!
