A Swinging Success at Metro Masters 2025
The early morning clouds may have threatened the fairways, but by mid-day, the sun was shining down on another incredible Metro Masters Golf Tournament. On Friday, September 5, we returned to the The Ridge at Castle Pines for the third year in a row, and the stage was set for a day of friendly competition, laughter, and connections. Once the rain cleared, it was clear that nothing could dampen the spirits of our members— proving once again that in golf, much like in our industry, it’ s all about playing through the challenges.
The sold out tournament brought together dozens of teams, each eager to leave their mark on the leaderboard— and a few onto the rough. Along the way, contests tested players’ accuracy, power, and a little bit of creativity.
• Closest to the Pin honors went to Jessica McConnell, Adam Ruth, Caden Crosby, Cameron Ober, and Marcus Biere, each showing a sharp eye for the flag.
• Matt Atkins claimed victory in the tongue-in-cheek Closest to the Tree contest.
• Johannah Fijalka drove it straighter than anyone else to win Straightest Drive, while the long-game bragging rights went to Nikki Carpenter for the Ladies’ Longest Drive and Brian Mucklow for the Men’ s Longest Drive.
The Highest Scoring General Team title was earned by the team from CAMP Facility Services, made up of Jennice Minero, Robyn Nicholson, Grafton Montgomery, and Tyler Patterson— because sometimes the best memories come from the toughest rounds.
Of course, the question of the day was who would take home the coveted Owner’ s Cup, where teams battled it out for bragging rights and a shot at ultimate glory. Our Owner’ s Cup Qualifying Teams were:
• 1st Place: Cortland, hosted by BGreen Services Aaron Clausen, Danny Sauer, Junior Ibarra, and Emil Bekyarov
• 2nd Place: RedPeak Mark Windhager, Geoff Roth, John Rader, and Craig Kalman
• 3rd Place: Avenue5, hosted by Dixie Interiors Tim Turner, Heather Steinle, Brook Purcell, and Julian Johnson
Their consistent play and teamwork carried them to the top, proving that in the Owner’ s Cup, strategy and precision are as valuable as a well-timed birdie.
None of this would be possible without the outstanding support of our sponsors, who help us bring together such a memorable day for our members. A heartfelt thank you goes to Real Floors, our Presenting Sponsor, for their continued partnership and commitment to making Metro Masters one of the highlights of the AAMD calendar.
As the last putts dropped and teams gathered for awards, the sense of community was undeniable. Metro Masters has become more than just a tournament— it’ s a celebration of connection, competition, and camaraderie.
We’ re already counting down the days until we return to The Ridge at Castle Pines for next year’ s tournament on Friday, September 11, 2026. Until then, may your drives be long, your putts be true, and your networking always land on the green.
