Gidley, Lovegreen & Sarli, LLP, is founded by Robert W. Lovegreen, Thomas D. Gidley and Michael G. Sarli.

Robert W. Lovegreen is appointed as a United States Magistrate Judge and the firm name is changed to Gidley, Sarli & Marusak, LLP.

Michael R. De Luca is elevated to partner( 1997), founding Partner Thomas D. Gidley retires and the firm moves to its current location in the Turks Head Building in downtown Providence.

Andrea L. Merolla-Simister is elevated to partner( 2020), founding Partner Michael G. Sarli( 2022) and Partner James P. Marusak( 2024) retire from full-time practice and become of Counsel attorneys at the firm.

40 years and counting … Stephen J. Sypole is elevated to partner( 2025), and Michael, Andrea and Steve continue the long-held traditions of the firm with an eye toward the future.
