1) Him- You can call this an intriguing idea that fell flat on its face. A combination of horror, thriller, and sports movie, it ' s like a recipe that never comes together- tasty in parts; congealed in others. This flick wastes a terrific performance by Marlon Wayans- but he can ' t save this mess.... Avoid it!- in theatres...
2) Black Rabbit- Jude Law and Jason Bateman play against type in this story of two brothers trying to co-exist in the restaurant business in New York City... the first year ' s eight episodes set the scene for what comes next- this is sort of Ozark with food... See it!- on Netflix...
3) The Long Walk- Taken from a Stephen King story, this film is not subtle- to its detriment. Too much gore, very, very dark- whatever the message the director wanted, it ' s lost in fake blood and violence. Avoid it!- in theatres...
4) A Big Bold Beautiful Journey- Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie play two singles who meet at a wedding and start a romance, which leads them to relive past moments in their lives. If that sounds confusing, you ' re right. Because you have to see it to understand- it’ s unique. It’ s profound. It feels like therapy, connecting your past and present... See it!- in theatres...
