With over 32 years of legal experience, Wolfe is an accomplished trial attorney and Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Mediator. Prior to joining Lesser, Landy, Smith & Siegel, she served as the Senior Litigating Attorney and Managing Partner of Kalis, Kleiman & Wolfe, where she specialized in significant negligence cases. Wolfe’ s practice focuses on a broad range of areas, including automobile accidents, slip / trip and falls, negligent security, wrongful death, catastrophic brain and spinal cord injuries, medical malpractice, and mass torts, including defective drugs and medical devices. Early in her career, Wolfe worked for a prominent defense firm, representing major insurance companies. For the past 20 years, however, she has dedicated her career to representing individuals injured due to the negligence of others. Wolfe is admitted to practice in all County and Circuit Courts in Florida, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. In addition, she is a licensed private investigator. She is a member of The Florida Bar, the Broward County Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Broward County Trial Lawyers. She is also the Past President of the Davie-Cooper City Rotary Club.
Owen Law is pleased to announce that Krista Downey has been reelected to the Board of Directors of the University of Miami School of Law Alumni Association. Ms. Downey will serve on the Executive Committee of the Board as Vice President of Activities and Homecoming Chair. In her new leadership positions, Ms. Downey will continue her efforts to connect and engage alumni through a variety of programs, events, and educational opportunities. Ms. Downey recently co-hosted the Palm Beach Judicial Dinner Series to introduce law students and recent graduates to alumni who are members of the judiciary in Palm Beach County. Ms. Downey earned her J. D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 2012 and previously received the Young Alumni Committee Award at her ten-year law school reunion. Ms. Downey is an attorney with Owen Law in Palm Beach Gardens, where she focuses her practice on estate planning, probate and trust administration, and related real estate and corporate matters.
Jones Foster announces that corporate and private wealth attorney Rachel L. Sears has been elected treasurer of the East Coast Estate Planning Council’ s Board of Directors for the 2025-2026 term. As treasurer, Ms. Sears will supervise the receipt, custody, and disbursement of the Council’ s funds, oversee key financial activities, and ensure the accurate maintenance of its financial records. This new role follows her first term serving on the Board of Directors, reflecting her continued leadership and commitment to the organization’ s mission to serve the professional education and business development needs of Palm Beach County estate planning professionals.
