The Apartment Association of Metro Denver ( AAMD ) and other housing partners are focused on aiding the transformation of the lives of individuals and families at risk of homelessness . AAMD was involved in some of the early conversations with Entryway as they explored Denver as their next expansion city , and we are proud to have donated $ 20,000 to help launch the program . Entryway ’ s housing partners recognize the unique value of Entryway , not just as a program but as a lifeline that provides a fresh talent pipeline for local properties – a pressing need in the greater Denver area .
AAMD and our members have a deep desire to be part of the solution to create more opportunities for those at risk of homelessness by helping them find sustainable employment and housing . We believe this collaboration reaffirms our commitment to the Metro Denver
Entryway has already forged partnerships with over 60 apartment management companies , both nationally and locally . These partners offer Entryway participants ( who become employees ) a housing discount .
According to Kit Baker-Carr , Entryway Denver ’ s Executive Director , the nonprofit will also partner with the organizations such as Family Promise , Goodwill , and The Salvation Army to help identify potential individuals to participate in the program .
Being able to provide someone with a job is a way to empower them . By extending opportunities for both employment and discounted housing rates , Entryway is providing individuals with the essential support needed to stand on their own two feet . Together , we are shaping a stronger , more compassionate Denver - one where every individual has the chance to thrive .
The partnership between AAMD and Entryway is a winwin-win situation for all of us . The multifamily housing industry provides both housing and jobs , and this partnership helps people who most need both .
