BATTLE OF THE SEXES
Dear Battle of the Sexes :
My wife is a clean freak at the highest level and it ' s making me and the kids crazy ! We have two children under six , a dog , a cat , and hamsters , and my wife is constantly trying to keep our house immaculate - but it ' s driving her over the edge . She needs to realize that it ' s okay to have the kids ' toys on the floor , along with cat jungle gyms , dog bones , and sometimes a little hay - it ' s okay because we have kids and animals and that ' s what comes with them all . She never sits down and enjoys everything she has because she is constantly trying to keep it all put away and hidden - afraid someone will unexpectedly stop in and see our house in an untidy manner . I say , " So what ??" Who ' s with me ?

It seems to me that all problems between the sexes could be solved with two things : communication and respect . It ' s not too difficult , or shouldn ' t be , anyway . Communication : Don ' t expect your partner , family , friends , or co-workers to read your mind - let people know what you need , want , and expect . Respect : Understand and accept that everyone ' s priorities and perspectives are different . The world does not revolve around you , like it or not . And if you ' re with someone who won ' t give you either , dump him or her . The relationship won ' t work and isn ' t worth the aggravation .
