I love the fall . But to be fair , who doesn ’ t ? It is such a welcoming time of year . It is the time of year when we all come back together after a long separation of summer . Think of how the smells of autumn — bonfires , apples , cinnamon , hot chocolate , pumpkin pie — are a call out to others . It is a time for community . ‘ Tis the season for scary stories . I think we all know a few local locations that seem haunted . Joe Berenato and Paul Pedersen will have you seeing ghosts around town . Football and field hockey bring out the fans for our two high schools . Dan Russoman takes a look at the two legendary local field hockey programs and talks with past players . Anthony Guerere marches us down memory lane with stories from his Hammonton High School Marching Band days . The Maplewood has been welcoming Hammontonians and guests for generations .
