LETTER FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER
St Johns Members ,
Brad Calkins has been an integral part of St . Johns Golf & Country Club since 2018 and is currently our Head Golf Professional . In June , Brad suffered a life alerting setback when he was admitted to the hospital with an unknown illness . Over a seven-week period , through numerous tests , appointments , and studies , doctors diagnosed Brad ’ s disorder as Diastolic Heart Failure . This condition reduces the efficiency of the heart ’ s operation , restricting the blood flow through the body . Through medications and lifestyle adjustments , the illness can be managed , but not cured .
Since August , Brad has been able to resume his full responsibilities at St . Johns . The effect his presence has on the Club is tremendous with his positive attitude , dedication to members , and service he provides to all guests . Everyone Brad comes into contact with immediately recognizes how wonderful a person he is . Many of us are aware that hospital visits , medications , and routine doctors ’ appointments come with a heavy financial burden . The love we have for Brad , inspires us to take action and help shoulder these costs .
