COURSE UPDATE : Finally Fall is here ! Or at least if not , it should be not too long until we sustain these desirable daytime and nighttime temperatures .
The LGCC maintenance team received the much-needed break in the weather following the aerification of the greens during the middle part of the month . The process was a success overall , and the team intends on aerifying the tees and possibly fairways later this season . Since , aerification the weather has been next to perfect apart from the historic rainfall the course received over the 22nd and 23rd of the month . With the rainfall all totaled we estimate the course received between 8 ” – 10 ” of rainfall sustained over the course of approximately 36 hours . The report of damage from the storm includes one large tree downed , historic flooding of our creeks and ponds , washout from the storm drains and creeks and lastly some damage on greens . The LGCC team expects to have the course cleaned up and mowed by the beginning part of October .
The LGCC maintenance team will continue to work hard this Fall and into the Winter completing some projects around the property . And as always , we are continuing to work hard in order to provide you , the members , with the best possible playing conditions in the Valley !
