Washington Trust Named ‘Best-In-State’ Bank

July 2020 — The Washington Trust Company was named
by Forbes as the “Best In-State Bank” in Rhode Island as
part of its annual listing/ranking of the best banks in each
of the fifty states. Notably, Washington Trust was the only
bank selected in Rhode Island. “We’re extremely honored
to be recognized as the “Best-In-State” bank,” said
Edward O. Handy III, chairman and chief executive officer,
Washington Trust. “This national recognition reconfirms
our commitment to the outstanding service our employees
provide to our customers.”
PPAC General Manager elected as
president of Rhode Island College Foundation
August 2020 — Rhode Island College alumnus and
PPAC General Manager Alan Chille will serve as the RIC
Foundation’s new president. The foundation is the primary
source of private support fueling the college’s mission of
providing accessible higher education to traditional and
non-traditional students across the state, region and
beyond.
“As a Rhode Island College alumnus, it has been my
pleasure to have served as the foundation’s vice president
and it is an honor to now be chosen as president,”
Chille said.
