How do you select the best interior paint colors for your home? Adding color to your home can impact you on both a physical and emotional level, so make sure to do a little personal assessment of how each color option impacts you! How does it make you feel? How does your family respond to it? You can easily and affordably change the feel of any room in your house with a little planning and some color, varying the shades for a certain look or feel. 2. What are some hot home décor trends for fall/winter 2020? Blue is the perfect primary color for the upcoming season. Try adding deep navy to your home décor through accent pillows, throw blankets and shelf accessories. Plus, lanterns in bronze and gold tones work well with blue and navy and are a great way to light up a room. Sabrina Scolari Photography - 2020© Insperiors, LLC Contact us today! Where do you start when furnishing a room? Land a layout! If you have an oddly shaped room or a very small or large space, pin down a layout that works in your favor. Needing specific furniture will narrow your options and point you in the right direction. An interior designer can assist you with the overall plan and design goals for the room. You may then layer in new pieces as you find them and let your room evolve over time! Get Inspired by finding artwork or Instagram design pages you love, a favorite fabric or area rug pattern or even a statement piece of furniture you already own. 4. What are some factors to take into consideration when refinishing a bathroom or kitchen? Is this remodel designed for you to enjoy, for you to age-in-place in or for resale? All three of these have different goals and should have very different budgets. What is your timeline for the remodel from concept to completion as well as for living in the space before, during and after the remodel? Do you have a contractor? Have you also budgeted for any hidden problems, like mold or structural damage? Have you ordered all products and materials prior to starting the demo? We can help with all of this and more! 98 RHODE ISLAND MONTHLY l OCTOBER 2020
