spread of COVID-19 is more than a challenge . It is a crisis that presents new health worries and an added sense of isolation and vulnerability for wish kids and their families . What they need now , is the hope that a wish experience can provide , and you can help make that happen .
There are over 300 wish kids in San Diego whose wishes have been affected by COVID-19 – and that number grows everyday as referrals continue to come in . Since March 2020 , we have received 30 new referrals and now have almost 330 children involved in the wish process in some way .
Now more than ever , this hope is essential . Make-A-Wish San Diego is committed to ensuring that no child waits even one unnecessary day to experience the hope and joy that a wish brings . Together , we can continue to be a light of hope throughout this time of crisis — and beyond .
