Speaking of design, our garments are conceptualised and crafted in a way that they provide the child with utmost ease for years. We also make use of organic canvas lined with recycled nylon, which is completely home- washable and customisable—it can be inscribed with the child’s name. Our clothes are the perfect amalgamation of dressiness and comfort. As a result of this, we have developed a loyal consumer base over time. HOW HAS THE PROGRESS BEEN LIKE, IN TERMS OF MARKET DYNAMICS? I used to participate in pop-ups across the country as I wanted my clientele to get a real- time feel of my products before they could make a purchase; this, I believe, also helps them to distinguish between ordinary and organic cotton. I also travelled to Singapore to introduce my brand there. Therefore, whenever and wherever I have had the opportunity, I have promoted my label to the best of my ability, and people have been generous with their acceptance of it. Now, with social media being the norm of the day, I have been able to interact with many people and pr promote my brand further, online. Bagging a further awards and being in the few aw press ha has also helped us to larger audience to a reach a larg great t extent. t t WHAT IS IN THE PIPELINE FOR MI DULCE AN’YA? We are in the process of opening our flagship store in Kolkata. Although we have our presence in a few countries, the depth of penetration needs to be worked on. But as a mother and homemaker, I am unable to do everything as fast as I would have, had I been just an entrepreneur. We have recently started crafting backpacks and diaper bags so I think I would like to explore that area more. We are also in talks with a Singapore- based company for a collaboration.
