The Martians intend to invade Earth, but cannot strike until
they possess the plans for inventor Cyrus Layton's (James
Craven) long-range "jet plane" spaceship. The advance scout
for the invasion is a strangely garbed being called the Purple
Monster (Roy Barcroft), who can take over the identity of any
earth man. If Layton's niece Sheila (Linda Sterling) and
criminologist Craig Foster (Dennis Moore) fail to stop the
threat of the Purple Monster, it's the end of the human race!
