At a time of year when temperatures plummet, diners can once again look forward to the hottest dining event of the year – Dine About Winnipeg. This year it runs from February 2-12. Ciao! has collaborated with the restaurant community to offer threecourse, prix fixe meals. There is a new price category added to this year’ s line-up. Some restaurants are presenting a three course lunch for $ 18. There are two other price categories: $ 28 and $ 38 offered for dinner.
The idea behind the event is simple: to give restaurant goers an incentive to brave the cold and discover new eateries and tastes at the same time!
The restaurants are again representative of Winnipeg’ s best places, and the offers presented are designed to impress. There are 24 different restaurants, some of them offering several menu options, and virtually all of them are poised to accommodate vegetarian alternates.
Manitoba Pork’ s support as presenting sponsor for the second year in a row has enriched the menu offers too. There are many dishes featuring interpretations of pork and a contest for diners to choose their favourites. The pork dish with the most number of votes will win in each of the course categories. Everyone engaged in the voting will be entered to win a dinner for two!

Each year many of the restaurants are sold to capacity so make reservations soon to avoid disappointment. With so much food to taste offered at such a low price, this is a terrific week to get out and try some new restaurants!
