STM: Oscar Sanders, where are you from? Oscar Sanders: I was born and raised in The Bronx, NY. STM: What inspired you to be a Movie Director?

Oscar Sanders: From a very young age I was watching 40's and 50's film noir (crime/drama themed movies mostly in black and white film) because I was a lonely child back then. I’ve always possessed a sense of vision and the ability make people understand and feel what I see. I also loved telling stories which is the foundation of all good filmmaking. Once I put those two ingredients into my very own creative kettle, it developed into what I am today; a filmmaker appealing to an audience that is growing.

STM: You have a big Movie Screening this month, tell the people about that. Oscar Sanders: It's a feature documentary about the late legendary composer/jazz violinist Billy Bang entitled “Billy Bang: Long Over Due.” STM: What do you want your audience to leave with after seeing this movie? Oscar Sanders: To feel blessed to have celebrated a man's life and musical contribution as well as his humor and dedication to the experience of life.

STM: Before I let you go is there anything you want you fans to know about Oscar Sanders? Oscar Sanders is an alternative form of filmmaking for an audience that is looking for images and voices threaded together to become a thought-provoking, engaging and humorous film.
