Social Therapy: Miryda Black, how long have you been singing and what got you started? Miryda Black: I have been singing since I was 5. My mother was a big influence because she involved me with the church choir. Social Therapy: Who were some of your other influences? Miryda Black: Well of course my mother but then there’s Michael Jackson, Sam Cooke, The Temptations and The Isley Brothers but we could keep the list going. Social Therapy: Are you signed and if not who would you sign with? Miryda Black: No, I am not signed, but if I had the choice I would love to do music with Lupe Fiasco.

Social Therapy: Have you done any shows? Miryda Black: Yes I have, my most recent one was at the Arts Garage. You can YouTube the performance; “Miryda Black and Siren Performance at the Arts Garage.” Social Therapy: Is there an album in the works that you would like to speak on? Miryda Black: Indeed, the title will be confidential but Siren and I are currently working on a project. Our movement is called “Music Against Violence.”

Social Therapy: What would you like to accomplish in the music industry? Miryda Black: I would like to create different avenues for people in the poverty stricken communities. Bringing resources that are needed to keep the people of our community together instead of against each other.

Social Therapy: What producers would you like to work with? Miryda Black: I would like to see what I can do with some production from Ryan Leslie, Pharrell, and Missy Elliot.

Social Therapy: Ok last question, where can fans hear your music? Miryda Black: You can Google Miryda Black and all my links will pop up, I hope u enjoy.
