Dux Medal Winners – Congratulations !
Lucy Grieve – S4 Dux
Award
It has been another
fantastic
year
for
Lucy . Her hard work
and commitment to
her studies really paid
off , achieving straight
A band 1 grades in all
National 5 courses - in
addition to achieving
the
music
performance award
at higher level . Lucy
has
demonstrated
excellent
time
management
skills .
Balancing her studies
with
the
significant
time
she
spends
training
and
competing in the
pool is testament
to
her
commitment and
dedication .
We
have
enjoyed
following
her
success again this
year , and what a
year it has been !
A
new
British
Junior record in the
50m butterfly , topped
off with silver in the
Junior 100m butterfly
and
4 th
in
the
women ’ s
50m
butterfly in
Switzerland . Lucy was also recently presented with the award for the most promising female swimmer in the west of Scotland and a 3-foot-high trophy now sits proudly on the stool in her room ! Beyond school , Lucy is keen to pursue a scholarship or study dentistry and given her talent , commitment and desire to succeed , we know she will go on to do great things .

year for Jay , building
on
his
success
in
fourth year . His hard
work
and
commitment
to
his
studies has paid off
again ,
achieving
straight
A
band
1
grades
in
higher
Chemistry ,
English ,
Engineering ,
Maths
and Physics .
Jay is clearly a great
all-rounder
and
popular amongst staff
and peers .
He is a
member of the senior
football team – who
assure us they would
have won the league
if the season
played
to
a
finish
and
continues
to
turn
out
for
Troon Thistle , a
team he has
played with for
a number of
years .
In June , Jay
was
appointed
School Captain . This
will
be
a
very
important
year
for
Jay .
His Advanced
Higher
studies
will
prepare him well for
