COUNTY ELECTION CANDIDATE Office: OAKLAND COUNTY TREASURER Candidate: JOHN MCCULLOCH www.votejohnmcculloch.com www.linkedin.com/in/john-p-mcculloch-30657437 facebook.com/John-McCulloch-for-Oakland-County-Treasurer-298965653810636 twitter.com/VoteMcCulloch Over the past 30 years as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and attorney, I have developed expertise in the areas of operations, regulations, legal and risk management, as well as fiscal management in both the public and private sectors. I have served on retirement and deferred compensation boards in the public sector and I have managed annual budgets of more than $250 million. During my 10 years as a County Commissioner, I served 3 years as Chairman of Finance and 5 years as Chairman of the Board. During that time, we cut the tax rates four times. After that, I served for 12 years as Water Resources Commissioner where we reduced water rates and where I solved one problem that saved the county taxpayers $160 million. I am currently and elected Trustee and Treasurer for Oakland Community College, the largest community college system in Michigan. One major reason L. Brooks Patterson is endorsing me is because I worked with him to obtain Oakland County’s AAA Bond Rating that saves money for every taxpayer in Oakland County. Therefore, keeping the AAA rating is a top priority. I will invest county tax dollars in the best interest of all taxpayers, and I will provide the type of transparency we do not have now. When I am elected, taxpayers will know how their money is invested, with whom it is invested, and why they were chosen, and it will be on my website. I have a record of being a careful watchdog of taxpayer money. Support now
