Charbonneau Arts Festival ready

4 October 2025 Charbonneau Villager

The event will be held Oct. 10-12 in Charbonneau

By CATHI MCLAIN Charbonneau resident
The annual arts festival, now known as the Wilsonville Festival of the Arts @ Charbonneau, will fill the country club facilities on Oct. 10-12. Planning has been underway for many months, attracting artists and artisans from throughout Oregon and Washington. This is the one event each year where our community has the opportunity to view world-class professional and student art up close in our own facilities. It is now Wilsonville’ s only art festival. And, as always, proceeds

from the festival and the silent auction benefit the arts programs at Canby and Wilsonville High Schools. Last year, a record $ 10,000 was donated to each of the two schools’ fine art programs, allowing them to purchase new pottery kilns, art display panels, art supplies and to“ fill the gap” in tight budgets.
Check out your neighbors’ work
Several Charbonneau residents will join the 60 artists and artisans who will have their creations on display in the Clubhouse and Activity Center.
In the Booth Show: Teena Barnett, with Teena’ s Totes, offers a fun collection of themed bags for golf, pickleball, mahjong and more. Jaimie Boersing will exhibit her work for the first time, with crocheted and sewn tote bags. Kathy Cole will showcase her beautiful quilts for bed and home décor. Carlyne Lynch will have a booth and also display her glass creations in the Fine Art Gallery. The Fine Art Gallery includes Joanne Collins, photography; Cathi McLain, watercolor paintings, as well as matted originals and greeting cards in the festival store; Elaine Swyt, photography, and matted prints and cards in the festival store; and Peg Wells, encaustic paintings using hot wax as the medium, plus matted art in the festival store.

sell everything from wood creations, hand-crafted jewelry and framed fine art and photographs to high-end wearables and glass art. More shopping opportunities will be found in the Activity Center, where the Fine Art Gallery will showcase paintings, photography and other media by artists from across the region and also from our local high schools. The festival store will offer cards and matted art by some of the same artists, all for sale and ready to take home.
The 2025 Festival will have something for everyone. The Artisan Booth Show opens from 5-7 p. m. on Friday, Oct. 10, and The Gala Opening Night Reception from 6-9 p. m. The reception features guitarist Kevin Karrick, wine and hearty hors d’ oeuvres, the Fine Art Gallery, the Student Gallery and the festival store.
The Silent Auction fundraiser will offer a variety of quality originals donated by our exhibiting artists and artisans and products donated by local merchants. Attendees can bid on all styles of original art and photographs, handcrafted pottery, glass, woodworks, fashion items, fine jewelry, home décor items, and more. Tickets are on sale for $ 10 each at the Activity Center desk, online at CharbonneauArts. org, and at the door. The entire festival will be open, free to all, on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 11-12, from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m.
