End of the season activities
It is hard to believe that we are down to the last two months of the Charbonneau Women’ s Golf Association 2025 golf season. However,
BOOK there are still plenty of golf activities left and a lot of celebrating to do! September and October events are plentiful and should provide opportunities for competitive golf and some fun party time as well.
On Sept. 4, it is a CWGA Tailgate Par-Tee Scramble. Celebrate your favorite college teams by wearing your team colors and decorating your carts. Get ready to chip over a goal post, hit a baseball and tee up where the baseball lands and other fun scramble surprises to celebrate
the season. The Butteville General Store will cater a delicious lunch after the scramble. Thank you to Lynda Marshall and Marikate Book for planning and organizing this fun Tailgate Par-Tee!
Rita Albrich and Pat Jacobs are busy planning the last golf scramble of the season to be held on Oct. 2, the Stagette. Get ready because there is a full day of activities being planned. The theme of the day, Joyful Putts, Pearls & Polka Dots begins with a step away scramble followed by a flavorful and extravagant lunch catered by the Butteville General Store. This lunch is just what will be needed to build up enough energy to participate in the fast pace and thrilling Stagette Horserace. There is no doubt that participants will be thirsty and hungry after the race. Be sure to come hang out in the Activity Center and enjoy a beverage and hors d’ oeuvres while you celebrate with your CWGA golf community.
Congratulations to the overall winner of the Handicap Competition, Jackie Brown. The Club
Renate Bussell, Amy Day, Peg Wells and Christy Lynch enjoy the celebration.
Championship Tournament scheduled late in August has not been completed as of this writing. Stay tuned for the announcement of the 2025 Club Champion and the Most Improved Player in the October Villager.
