Express Augmented Reality App, XARA, was
launched in January 2019. XARA assists in
bringing the stories in the Express newspapers
to a visual platform using photos, videos and
audio.
How to Use: Open the app and hold the scanner
over the ‘X’ printed in the Express newspapers.
Wait for the augmented content to load and
continue to hold your device in place as the
logo comes alive.
As part of the launch, XARA Road Shows were
held throughout Trinidad and Tobago, ie
Arima, Chaguanas, Tobago, Port of Spain and
San Fernando.
There were lots of giveaways for our loyal
readers who downloaded the XARA App.
The Road Show also comprised visits to RED
96.7FM, i95.5FM, Hott 93.5FM, W107.1FM
the Word and Radio Tambrin (Tobago) for
interviews to promote XARA.
Overall, the Xara Road Show was a success and
readers were excited to utilize the new feature
in the Trinidad Express Newspapers.
Green Dot Limited was the official Wi-Fi/
internet provider for the XARA Road Show.
