BOCAS Literary Festival 2019 …and the winner is Trinidadian author, Kevin Adonis Browne, emerged the winner of the 2019 OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature. Browne’s ‘High Mas: Car­ni­val and the Po­et­ics of Caribbean Cul­ture’ is an anthology of personal essays, memoirs and photos surrounding the local Carnival experience. One Caribbean Media is the prize sponsor of the Annual BOCAS Literary Festival where the overall winner receives US$10,000.00. OCM also sponsored the festival’s Genre Category prizes, in Poetry, Fiction and Non-fiction Awards. The winners of the genre categories each received US$3,000. This year, OCM also funded the festival’s genre category prizes Poetry, Fiction and Non-fiction Awards.
