they really aren't. Stopping pollution and resource overconsumption through "green" power methods will prevent the global climate change that is warming oceans and speeding up hypoxia.

Mass Transit
Similar to clean energy, lowering pollution from cars by using hybrids; carpooling; and taking buses, trains, or ferries will begin to reverse global warming and help the entire planet, including oceans and dead zones.
5
Educate Others
Once you know about an issue yourself, it is helpful to spread the word. Casually informing people with correct information may spark their interest and lead to a revolution of small changes by many.
6
Make Laws
This is a final and possibly most difficult step. To truly enforce conservation, legal
intervention is sometimes nessecary. Regulating pollution and the use of hypoxia-causing fertilizers will be key steps that may need government control. Eventually, the United States and the world must come together to save this precious habitat.
Oceans Monthly/June, 2014 10
For the sake of this planet's ecology and economy, dead zones need to be repaired as soon as possible.
But how?
