there is an award that will be right for you. Previous winners
have used the funding from our awards to support international
placements, study tours, conference attendance, project funding,
innovation, research activities, and much more.
Applications for the 2020 Annual Awards scheme are now
open, offering funding opportunity for RCOT members towards
activities commencing in 2020.
Applications for the 2020 Awards will close on
Tuesday 29 October 2019.

Wendy Cumines
Lecturer and clinical lead, occupational therapy at Cardiff University
2019 International Travel Award
The award helped fund Wendy’s visit to teach final year
occupational therapy students in Vietnam and build links
between the occupational therapy programmes at Cardiff
University and Ho Chi Minh City University (HCMCU).

Liverpool Award for Service
Development –
Two awards of £1,000 2019 RCOT Student Award for Entrepreneurship
The award funded a range of sensory equipment; to educate
about the importance of supporting sensory needs. It helped set
up a sensory room to benefit people with autism and facilitate
their engagement in activities.
RCOT Student Award for
Entrepreneurship –
One award of £500 Niamh Kinsella
Occupational therapy lecturer at Queen Margaret University

2019 Pearson Award.
The award supported Niamh’s efforts to share her doctoral
research findings at the RCOT Annual Conference and Exhibition.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome in January 2020.
