Senior Occupational Therapist
We are a large NHS Mental Health Trust in South East England. The
Care Quality Commission (CQC) has rated our services good, following
their most recent inspection, and outstanding in the caring domain.
The Forensic Healthcare Service has extensive experience of providing
prison healthcare and Forensic mental healthcare services across
Sussex and we use that experience to continuously improve and
develop our services. Each clinical area has a distinct identity, yet the
Forensic Healthcare service has a collective and passionate energy
for patient centred care with relational security, secure recovery and
reducing restrictive practice underpinning our approach.
We support people who, as a consequence of their mental health
needs, have had contact with the criminal justice system and require
a safe and secure environment that enables them to receive a wide
range of treatments, therapies and care to support their recovery.
Recovery is at the heart of everything we do – it is about people
building a meaningful life and represents a shift away from focusing on
illness and symptoms towards a focus on personal health, strengths
and wellness.
