Are you an
Occupational
Therapist
interested in
giving back to
the Profession?
Would you like to become a
Trustee?...
The Elizabeth Casson Trust is a charitable Trust and fund established in 1948 on
behalf of Dr Elizabeth Casson, founder of occupational therapy in the UK. Our purpose
is to provide funds to support the ‘furtherance of occupational therapy’ primarily, but
not exclusively, in the UK (www.elizabethcasson.org.uk)
Our Board comprises ten members all of whom bring their own professional skills
to the Trust. We are primarily a virtual group who undertake the majority of our work
remotely. The commitment expected from our trustees is attendance at four meetings
each year as well as participation in at least one of the working groups responsible
for a strand of our strategy.
We are currently looking for two new trustees to
complement our Board:
• An occupational therapist with at least three years current experience in either the
NHS, social care or third sector to take up the role in spring/summer
• A further position will be advertised later in the year for an occupational therapist to
take up the position in the autumn/winter.
