RCOT is running this event to support occupational therapy managers and leads. It will look into the underlying skills required in the development of handwriting along with difficulties children may experience and interventions/strategies. It is aimed at band five and six occupational therapists working in stroke teams. It will also be useful for more experienced therapists who are in generic teams, are returning to practice or want to refresh their knowledge. Venue: Derriford Hospital, Plymouth. RCOTSS – Work with VRA and SOM Understanding the meaning of good work and what role you can play as a practitioner is essential when supporting people into and back to work. In 2006 Waddell and Burton identified that work could be good for individuals’ health if the work was good. The importance of good work and job quality has since been extended for example, with research by the Work Foundation that seeks to support good work practices for both workers and employers.
