You don’ t need the perfect system: sustainable tech setup in independent practice

A s an occupational therapist, I understand the instinct to want every system perfectly in place before you begin. That same occupational therapy training – understanding how people function, what creates unnecessary burden and what enables sustainable practice – is what I now bring to web design and digital strategy for independent practitioners.
The message that comes through repeatedly from occupational therapists in independent practice is reassuringly consistent; you do not need the perfect system on day one and one size does not fit all.
Don’ t over-complicate early
A recurring theme from practitioners is the regret of over-complicating things too soon; chasing the perfect website, the perfect workflow, the perfect system, only to find that a sprawling stack of apps created more cognitive load than the clinical work itself.
