This section applies to films , social media reels , podcasts , performances , and more . Follow these guidelines to make your video and audio content accessible to all audiences .
Video Description
Include a Written Description Provide a short written description of the video or audio for people to review beforehand .
Similar to Image Descriptions Focus on key elements like actions , settings , and themes .
Closed Captioning
Live Video / Audio Use real-time captioning services ( e . g ., CART or automatic tools Ensure captions sync accurately with the audio . Employ captioning software or trained captioners for dialogue , lyrics , and sound effects .
Recorded Video / Audio Include closed captions for all spoken content . Ensure captions are accurate , grammatically correct , and properly timed . Provide subtitles in multiple languages , if needed . Allow viewers to turn captions on / off .
