In Poland, helped change the definition of rape; and contributed to the following: the ratification of the Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence, the change in procedures of prosecuting rape, the introduction of a police procedure protecting rape survivors, the creation of the Anti-Violence Women’ s Network, and the introduction of provisions on gender violence into local programs of domestic violence prevention.
In Serbia, Roma women joined the main public rising for freedom which was unprecedented as Roma women are historically marginalized and discriminated against. Roma girls who are involved in life / work on the streets, reclaimed those streets with power and a visible demand for equality and dignity.
In Jamaica, OBR was successful in being able to sensitize a primarily homophobic and sexist community with GBV terminology. They provided land stewardship through the lens of proclaiming the origins of traditional sustainability( ROOTS) – prioritizing LGBTQI + women-led indigenous practices and shifted the landscape of culture, spirituality and music.
In Zambia, as a direct impact of OBR, it was agreed with the schools who participated that a legal desk be held so that an up-close relationship is created between OBR team and students who have issues. The students have started reporting cases.
