books, tanned, ate alone, and was forced to spend an
extraordinary amount of time with myself and my
thoughts. It did pretty crazy stuff to me,” she commented. “In a good way. I think it was the first time I
really felt present in the moment in a very long time.
Since I have come home, I have been so much better at
spending ‘me time’ and really enjoying it.”
As students of a professional school, many of us
law students may not have a chance to explore the
world for such an extended time in an immersive
